2. Gite Au Soleil, France 
You may have noticed that over the past seven years we have very proudly grown two Grape Vines which flourish every summer over the Cafe's front veranda.  Sadly, both the red and white grapes here in Bath don't see quite enough sunshine over the year to grow to a reasonable size, but if you look at page 6 in the photo gallery pages of the website for the wonderful Gite Au Soliel on www.frenchholiday-gite.com you can see some properly sized, lovely sun soaked Grape Vines growing in the garden of a perfect and relaxing holiday destination! 
Our friends, Stephanie and Graham Cheshire have worked very hard in completely renovating and converting a building (which is part of what was a wine producing farm) into a beautiful holiday Gite in the peaceful Village of St Clair, of the department La Vienne, in the Poitou-Charentes region of France.  Not only picturesque from the outside, the property's interior is beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard and is able to accommodate four plus a baby cot.  Being reasonably priced and situated in what is officially classed as France's second most sunny region, there isn't any more one could wish for on a holiday!
